The “Power system relay protection and automation” international internet Olympiad from Novosibirsk State Technical Institute was successfully held on 17th of December 2021.

    In this Olympiad, there were a total of 9 teams and 103 participants from 26 different universities.

    After the final result, top 3 places were taken by The Novosibirsk State Institute of Technology (1st place, from Russia), Ivanov’s State Institute of Technology (2nd place, from Russia), Mongolian University of Science and Technology (3rd place, from Mongolia).

     In this annual olympiad, the students from the MUST (in particular students from the PES) were invited for the first time in 2019 and participated very well with a result of 4th place in total team points. For this year’s Olympiad, they have successfully improved their achievement and placed 3rd.

     This year’s team consists of 6 members from senior and junior class of “Automation of Electrical S”. From the junior class L.Nomin, Ts.Tumurbaatar, B.Usukhbayar have participated and from the senior class T.Gantuya, N.Khurbayar, O.Munkhjin have participated and they all competed successfully. Moreover, T.Gantuya and L.Nomin were awarded for their performances.

The olympiad commission had sent the 3rd place diploma alongside with a certificate for all the participants from MUST and those were awarded on 28th of Dec, 2021.

    Furthermore, the organiser side’s rector sent a letter of appreciation for the rector of the MUST Mr B.Ochirbat, and this letter was handed over by the director of PES prof B.Bat Erdene.

    The end result of this olympiad is showing the educational quality of the MUST and skills of the students and profs of PES.
