11^th International Mongolian-Japanese Joint Seminar was held successfully

The 11^th Mongolian-Japanese International Seminar on “Electricity Transmission, Distribution Technology, and International Standardization” was successfully held on August 22-26, 2016 in Ulaanbaatar city and Baganuur district.

From Mongolian side, the School of Power Engineering, MUST,  National Electricity Transmission Network,  State owned joint stock company, from the Japanese side: University of Tokyo, Kyushu University, Tokyo University of Energy, Ryukyu University, Kumamoto University, Doshishiya University, Kyushu University of Technology  and  professors, faculty and engineers representing the company and the universities, such as Ashikaga University of Technology and Japan's Eastern Railway Company, actively participated in this joint workshop.

The workshop has been traditionally held for the 11^th year, and the number of participants has been increasing year by year.

The goal of the seminar is to present and discuss current issues and prospects, new technologies and international standards, as well as industry challenges in the fields and share their experiences to each other.

Next year's regular workshop will be held in Japan.

Visiting Professor Tadahiro GODA, Izumi Ushiyama, and Shinya Otsuka who work on the joint research project  named “Innovation Research on Power Transmission and Distribution”, funded by the “Higher Education in Engineering and Technology” participated in the workshop. They provided valuable advice to the project team members discussed their prospects for further cooperation.

 During the same period, they met the Implementation Unit of “Engineering Technology in Higher Education” project to exchange information on degree and non-degree courses in Japan.
