Prof. Urasaki Naomitsu from University of the Ryukyus has worked in Power engineering School, MUST
A training course which is called “Electrical transmission and Distribution” was successfully organized between 9th and 20th, September. This course is one of the activities of the “Research on Innovation of Power Energy Transmission and Distribution” project in the frame of MJEED.
Furthermore, the professors and lecturers from Power Engineering School of the MUST and Prof. Urasaku Naomitsu from University of the Ryukyus introduced their research activities and results for the participants.

Training Report of the High Voltage Test Engineers
The School of Power Engineering successfully organized a professional training seminar for the high voltage test, and calibration engineers from April 29 to May 3, 2019. A total of 27 engineers and technicians in the field of high voltage from 11 energy sectors participated in the seminar. The following engineers attended the workshop.

The training had two sections including theory and practicum. Z. Tserendorj, G. Bekhbat, Ya. Sodbayar, Ts. Erdenetuya in the field of high voltage of the Electrical Engineering Department taught the first three days of training about the features of high voltage, internal and external insulation as a part of theory. Attendees of the seminar visited “Tuul-Substation with 110 kilowatt”. During the visit diagnostics of high voltage equipment was performed by using state-of-the-art measuring instruments as well as power transformers.
All engineers attended the seminar received certificates and they shared their experience with each other. They decided to open a Facebook group to share their professional experience that would support their further work.

March 14, 2019
An open seminar titled “Electrical Engineering & π-2019” was organized on March 14, 2019 for teaching staff, employers, alumni and students on the occasion of the “π” Digit Day.
At this event, SIEMENS, ABB, Monhorus International LLC, and Endless Energy LLC presented their equipment and products for smart energy. In addition, there were some interesting presentations including B.Sergelen, PhD, head of the department, delivered a presentation on “Reliance-SCADA Smart Control and Monitoring System”. Kh.Sukhbaatar, Ph.D., Professor, Honored Teacher of Mongolia, presented “Electro Technical Theory and Einstein” (π, φ, e), A. Erdene, senior lecturer, gave a presentation on “Methods of Generating Electricity by Using Biomass”, and Ch.Ulam-Orgil, Ph.D., Associate Professor, Senior Lecturer of the Electrical Engineering Department also delivered a presentation on “Wind Energy Development”.

English language course for teachers of the Power Engineering School
With the purpose of developing teachers’ English skills and abilities, the English language course was offered for teachers by the Teacher’s Development Center at the Power Engineering School. The “Stage 2” course, which began on March 12, 2019, was organized with the support of the “Talk Talk English”. A total of 12 teachers were involved in the English course. After a month, they successfully graduated from the course and received certificates.
Before beginning the course, all teachers of the school took the comprehensive test of English. After defining all teachers’ English level, the ones who fulfilled the requirements took the English course.
Those who completed successfully “Stage-2 level” course at “Talk Talk English” center continued their studies for the next “Stage-3 level” which began on May 22, 2019. After a month, 10 teachers received a graduation certificates from the center. This idea was supported by the administrative and it will continue in the future.

Report of the seminar on “Learning from Outstanding Young Teachers” organized by the Teacher’s Development Center
Aiming to develop teachers, the seminar on “Learning from the Outstanding Young Teachers” initiated by the Teacher’s Development Center was organized successfully among teachers of the School of Power Engineering. The seminar was conducted by teachers such as Ts. Erdenetuya, S. Erdene and Ch. Renchindorj.
Within the purposed program of MUST, to implement the new method “CDIO”, teachers of the School of Power Engineering taught Demo and Observation classes for “Engineering Design” course and they used CDIO methods for their teaching. Teachers shared their professional experience to others.
This seminar was held on December 10, 2018 in room No. 2-312 which was CDIO cabinet and teachers of the Power Engineering School actively participated in the seminar. During the workshop, they delivered a presentation as well as they had a great time for free discussion regarding the teaching issues and shared their expertise with others.

August 11-24, 2018
Within the implementation of the Higher Education in Engineering and Technology project, the MUST “Energy Transmission and Distribution Innovation Research” project team organized a joint seminar in cooperation with visiting professors from Japanese universities.
Eiji Kaneko, Ph.D., a professor at Ryukyu University, taught the EMTP program to young teachers of the School of Power Engineering and young researchers studying for master's and doctoral degrees within the Higher Education in Engineering and Technology project. Tsutomu Dei, PhD., a professor of Ashikaga University organized the workshop on HOMER program on renewable energy planning and calculation methods.

The 13th Mongolian-Japanese Joint International Seminar on “Important Issues of Electromagnetic Compatibility and Advanced Technologies for Sustainable Energy Development” was successfully held on October 1-2, 2018 at the Mongolian University of Science and Technology. This seminar was jointly organized by Tokyo Denki University, Kyushu Institute of Technology, Aichi Institute of Technology, Kyushu Electric College, Tokin Corporation, East Japan Railway Company, and Sumitomo Heavy Industries, Ltd. A total of 23 presentations were successfully delivered at the joint seminar. In addition, 14 presentations out of them were from Mongolian side and 9 from Japan.

The 11th traditional Mongolian-Japanese joint international seminar on “Electricity Transmission, Distribution Technology and International Standardization” was successfully held on August 22-26, 2016 in Ulaanbaatar and Baganuur district of Mongolia.
School of Power Engineering of the Mongolian University of Science and Technology, National Electricity Transmission Network, SOE, Tokyo University, Kyushu University, Tokyo University of Energy, Ryukyu University, Kumamoto University, Doshishia University of Technology, Kyushu University of Technology and professors, teachers and engineers from universities and the Japanese East Railway Company actively participated in this seminar.

Branch Training for Engineer- Technicians in Gobi Areas 2016
Branches of Thermal Power plants and State Owned Companies in Gobi areas successfully organized professional development training seminar for engineer-technicians from January 14-16, 2016 at the Electrical Distribution Company of Dundgobi province.
More than 100 engineers and technicians of the electrical transmission and distribution network companies in the Gobi areas were actively involved in the training seminar.
Instructors G. Bekhbat and Ts. Erdenetuya from the School of Power Engineering conducted the training seminar with the support of other engineers of distribution companies.

January 4, 2015
Within the framework of the joint Japanese-Mongolian M-JEED project, a team of 3 visiting researchers from Japan visited the Power Engineering School of MUST on September 1-4, 2015. During the visit we had a meeting with PIU. In addition, Ch.Mangaljalav and the project team revised the MOU and signed a memorandum of understanding. As for a project leader, B. Sergelen, professor, Electrical Engineering Department organized the event with a great success.
