“ABU ROBOCON 2019 MONGOLIA” International Competition for the first time in Mongolia
For the first time in Mongolia, among the students who are designing robots “ABU ROBOCON 2019 MONGOLIA” International Competition initiated from the Asia-Pacific Association was successfully organized on August 25, 2018 in Buyant-Ukhaa sport complex.
17 teams from 16 different countries of Asia-Pacific region competed with robots they made. In this contest, Mongolian teams showed their excellence in the history of the country. Teams representing Mongolia such as “Mongolia I” and “Mongolia II” of the School of Information Technology and Telecommunication of MUST successfully participated in the contest. The teams were in the semi-final round which included only 8 teams. Finally, “Mongolia I” team was in the final round of the competition.
In the final round, our team competed with the team of Vietnam which won 6 times in the ABU ROBOCON. As a result of the hard work, our team won the contest and had the right to compete for the champion. It was the highest record for the Mongolian team. It has been 18 years since our team participated in the ABU ROBOCON completion. Our team was awarded the prize “Outstanding engineer”
The metal panel of the robot and machine parts was made with the support of the automat machines with programs for Engineering Design class of the Power Engineering School, MUST. In comparison with previews ones, the machines and robots show technical and technology advantages and new solutions. Freshmen of Electrical Power Supply of the School of Power Engineering watched the contest and supported a lot.
